Ayushman Bharat Diwas
Observed on April 30 every year, this day promotes the core values of the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). Said to be one of the largest government-funded health schemes in the world, it was launched in 2018 by the Government of India to give healthcare coverage to Indian citizens, especially to the poor. Under the programme, the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) numbers have already been issued to more than 50 crore citizens, as per the latest government data.
