'Situationship' is not the only latest dating trend! These dating lingos have created a buzz among the Gen Z.

Are you constantly exchanging text messages with someone but haven't met him or her in person yet? Chances are this might be a 'textationship'! It refers to a type of relationship where partners communicate solely through text messages and have never met face-to-face.
The state of being deeply in love with your partner might make you overlook their flaws. The Gen Z now has come up with a new term for this called 'love haze'! In a way, it could be seen as a modern version of viewing things through rose-tinted glasses.
Consider a scenario where a person you are dating is seeming inconsistent with limited availability; this might be 'benching'. It is when a person holds onto an online connection as a backup while levelling the playing field.
Progressivism and social awareness are becoming increasingly desirable traits among youngsters when it comes to dating. But when someone pretends to be 'woke' to impress a partner, Gen Z calls it 'wokefishing'. Steer clear of it if you are looking for a genuine connection.
Have you heard about the popular television show Fleabag? Did you know about the dating lingo called 'fleabagging'? Just like the plot of the show, the term refers to the act of repeatedly dating people who aren't right for you.
In 2023, this dating lingo was declared Oxford's Word of the Year — 'rizz'! Derived from the word 'charisma', this now-popular term can be defined as the charm, style, or one's ability to attract a romantic partner.
