Are you originally from Prayagraj?

Yes, I was born and raised in Prayagraj, a centre of spirituality and culture.

What is the quality of life here like?

It's like living in any other city in India. From an educational standpoint, it's a good choice due to the presence of many reputed colleges and coaching centres. Prayagraj has many attractions related to historical and religious viewpoints.

What is the best thing that you like about the place?

Prayagraj is famous for its rivers, architecture, food and calm atmosphere. The confluence of three sacred rivers, the grand forts and amiable people make the city very special to me.

As compared to other big cities, how is the lifestyle in Prayagraj different?

Prayagraj offers a lifestyle that is deeply rooted in culture, history and spirituality. The atmosphere, cultural richness, slower pace of life, connection with nature and strong community and family ties make the city unique. The city provides a lifestyle that balances cultural depth, spiritual serenity, academic vibrancy and a close-knit community spirit, offering a distinct and enriching experience compared to the more fast-paced, modern lifestyle of larger urban centres.

What is the night scene here like?

At night, Prayagraj becomes calm and beautiful. Peaceful ceremonies by the river offer a sight to behold, and the streets line up with food stalls. Music and dance shows, revisiting the city's history, are also organised. Although Prayagraj doesn't host big parties like other cities, the peaceful nights are enjoyable, revealing the city's true nature. It's a lovely place to be after the sun goes down.

Are you a foodie? Which is your favourite eatery in Prayagraj?

One of my favourite places to satisfy cravings is the Chowk Area, renowned for its variety of Indian snacks and sweets. From spicy chaat to sweet jalebi, the diversity of items available here is a delight for all food lovers. I always look forward to visiting the El Chico Restaurant. They offer a mix of Indian, Chinese, and Continental dishes, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. However, when it comes to my non-vegetarian cravings, Kareem's is a must-visit for me in Prayagraj. They are renowned for their kebab and biryani varieties.

How did you discover the eatery?

Having lived in Prayagraj, I've had the opportunity to visit most of these places with my friends. We had made it a tradition to try new eateries every week. I discovered this place through recommendations from friends, suggestions from social media and food reviews. In local communities, information about good eateries spread through word of mouth matters. Additionally, I find valuable insights into the best places to eat through food blogs, local guides and food-related posts.

Why do you like the place so much?

I love Prayagraj's street food scenario because it offers everything from chaat, samosa and kachori to sweets like jalebi and kulfi. Furthermore, authentic Indian sweets like gujiya, rasmalai and the city's version of peda are mouthwatering.

Which are the best places to hang out in Prayagraj?

There are many popular places among locals for hanging out. The most important tourist destination in Prayagraj is Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three rivers of India: Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Another well-known tourist destination in Prayagraj is Khusro Bagh, which draws many visitors. Located in Lukarganj, this bagh and its surrounding walls and brackets serve as a reminder of exquisite Mughal architecture.

Apart from Prayagraj, what are the other places that you would recommend nearby?

There are many places near Prayagraj, which offer unique experiences and are worth exploring. Some of these destinations include Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Kaushambi, Bandhavgarh National Park, Varanasi and Sarnath. These destinations near Prayagraj provide a mix of spiritual, historical and natural experiences, making them great additions to your travel itinerary while visiting the beautiful city and looking for places to go on day trips.

How is Prayagraj different when compared to other Indian cities?

I have stayed in Hyderabad, Kolkata and Jaipur. Hyderabad excels in technology and culinary richness, Jaipur in royal heritage and arts, and Kolkata has cultural and intellectual legacy. In contrast, Prayagraj is revered for its religious significance and historical role in India's independence. It holds a special place in my heart as I have spent my childhood here and I cherish the calmness and purity that this city embodies.

PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR FAVOURITE DISH.

One of my most beloved dishes is chaat. This street food delight is a mix of tangy, spicy and sweet flavours, encapsulating the essence of local cuisine. Typically, the dish includes ingredients like fried dough, boiled potatoes, chickpeas, spices, yogurt and chutney, all skilfully combined to create a dish that bursts with flavour. More than its taste, eating chaat is an experience in itself and is quite a popular dish.

Experience with SpiceJet:

It is difficult to summarise the multitude of achievements and varied experiences that I have had at SpiceJet in just a few words. When I arrived here, I had nothing, but now, I have become a stronger and confident version of myself.

I started as an Executive in 2016 and progressed to a Manager in 2023. My role has evolved from handling trainee files to working with advanced software like ARMS and overseeing crew member training schedules and validities. I have encountered many challenges throughout this journey, but I can proudly say that I embraced each one of them with enthusiasm, as I enjoy tackling new challenges with confidence. I am looking forward to enhancing my skillset and learning new things here in the future.

During his tenure, he has ensured that we adhere to regulatory requirements by effectively implementing and monitoring compliance checks. Along with that, he has taken the initiative to mentor and motivate his juniors. He is quite knowledgable and is often seen helping his teammates.

It has been 12 years at SpiceJet, which have been the most satisfying and productive years of my life. From training to compliance, every challenge that I have faced has made me strong and resilient.
